Old Bowling Green Project WP – Cllr Magnus: Nothing to report

Community Speed Watch: Co-Ordinator

To date, we have completed 15 sessions at different locations within the village. Each session lasting 1 hour minimum.

On average 10 percent of the vehicles passing are speeding. To date we have reported 121 cars to the police.

I would like to point out, that although 13 people have completed all the training, due to other commitments these people are unable to help out that often.

For example: - 1 person 0 times

                         1 person twice

                         7 people three times.

As we need 3 people for each session it is very hard to co-ordinate a session. Especially now the daylight hours are shorter.

We have also had a fair bit of ill feeling made towards us, which may be why people are reluctant to help.

As far as future plans are concerned, basically it will be as and when I can get others to help out.
